Edge Racing Engines to Take Part in ‘Prelude’ With Lazer Chassis and Cruz Pedregon
Windber, PA (May 28, 2008) Edge Racing Engines customer Jim Bernheisel will be fielding an Edge
Racing Engines powered Lazer Chassis for former National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Funny Car
Champion Cruz Pedregon for the Old Spice ‘Prelude to the Dream’ presented by Sprint Wireless. ‘The
Cruzer’ will pilot the Edge Racing Engines powered Lazer Chassis in the star-studded event that will
include numerous NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers and will be held at the famous Eldora Speedway in New
Weston, OH. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 4th at 7pm eastern and will be available on
HBO Pay-Per View for $24.95 with proceeds benefitting the Victory Junction Gang.
‘Team Edge’ drivers have stayed busy despite the nasty weather Western Pennsylvania has been
getting in recent weeks, Tim Good picked up two wins (May 2nd & May 23) at Dog Hollow Speedway
while Greg Hauger found victory lane at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex on May 10th. On May 23rd
at Stoneybrook Speedway, Jason Bender took the checkered flag and Marty Spade Jr. won at Roaring
Knob on May 24th.

Edge Racing Engines Driver Spotlight: Jeff Compton
Windber, PA (June 23, 2008) Edge Racing Engines have continued their winning ways during the month of June with Dan
Stone winning at Penn Can Speedway on June 6th as well as Jason Bender at Stonybrook Speedway also on June 6th.
Marty Spade Jr. snagged wins at the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex on June 7th and June 21st while Lynn Geisler
came home first for the 68th time in his career at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, also on June 21st.
Driver Spotlight: #65 - Jeff Compton – Jeannette, PA
A racer since he was 14, Jeff Compton has many accomplishments in his racing career collecting numerous wins and
championships in the go kart division before moving up into the Charger division for two years before climbing into a Late
Model. Jeff, now in his third year driving his Compton Racing / Dreistadts Service / H & R Block of New Alexandria, Delmont
and Saltsburg / Denunzio’s Sunoco / BHC of Delmont / Ringer Gloves / Lee Insurance / Blazavich Racing Decals #65 Rocket
Chassis and has high hopes to pick up his first win in the Late Model in 2008. Compton finished a respectable eighth in
points at Dog Hollow Speedway in his rookie year and now races on a regular basis at Marion Center Speedway on
Saturday nights. ‘I have great people helping me out’ commented Jeff, ‘from my sponsors down to my very dedicated friends

‘Team Edge’ Enjoying Successful 2008 Season
Windber, PA (July 17, 2008) Edge Racing Engines customers have been racking up wins left and right so far in 2008.
Members of ‘Team Edge’ have picked up six more wins since mid-June as the local tracks quietly slip past the season’s
halfway point.
‘Team Edge’ got hot at the end of June just as the weather has. Long time veteran Lynn Geisler picked up his third win of
the 2008 season at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway on Saturday, June 21, the same night that Marty Spade Jr. took the
checkers at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex. Sheetz McGarvey grabbed a win at Dog Hollow Speedway on June 26th
as Kenny Schaltenbrand snapped a five year winless streak at Lernerville Speedway on July 4. The following night Randy
Smithley won at Marion Center Speedway over Rod Philips, Bobby Watt and fellow ‘Team Edge’ member Jeff Compton.
Jason Bender won at Stoney Brook Raceway on July 11th to give Edge Racing Engines six wins within that four week
span.
The ‘Team Edge Spotlight’: Lynn Geisler – Cranberry Twp, PA - #1C
Lynn Geisler needs no introduction. The National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame member has become a legend in the sport not
only for his on track performance but also for his longevity with his sponsors. #1 Cochran Automotive has been on the side
of Geisler’s race cars for over 27 years and over 200 total feature wins. If that’s not impressive enough just take a look at
some of Lynn’s accomplishments over the years. Two time NEWS Champion, two time MACS Champion, 14 track
championships, over 100 wins at Lernerville Speedway, and over 65 wins at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway. Geisler
Racing shows no sign of slowing down as Lynn still competes regularly at Lernerville Speedway and PPMS and sits
second in championship points at both facilities. Lynn has also started a Driver Development program that includes former
Street Stock standout Mike Pegher Jr. as the driver of a #1 Cochran sponsored ‘Crate’ Late Model. Pegher has picked up
three wins already in 2008.
